India captures Gold at Bourbon Trail in the USA

India captures Gold at Bourbon Trail in the USA

India finally got into a podium finish after missing out in the previous Challenger Tour which was held in Mumbai where India failed to win any medal but in the same tournament two Indian players Ramit Tandon and Saurav Ghoshal reached the knockouts but failed to make a name as Tandon reached the semis but got knocked out by Tarek Momen who was the highest seeded player of the tournament at that time and Ghoshal retired in the quarters but not this time because Aditya Jagtap of India gave its nation a gold medal when it was needed the most and Jagtap progressed to the final in USA and won the final by defeated Andrew Schnell of Canada over five games. This win could help the India no. 3 Jagtap to get inside the world top 100.

Final Score: Jagtap beat Schnell in 12-10, 4-11, 7-11,11-8, 11-6.

India qualify for Semi-Finals of Junior Asian Championship 2019

Today was a must win game for Indian Boys Squash Team as they faced South Korea for final match of Pool A and India this time won all the matches comfortably as the trio of Utkarsh Baheti, Yash Fadte and Tushar Shahani were successful in thumping a 3-0 win against Korea and from the three matches which India won, only the second match went for the fourth game after Lee Minwoo won second game for Korea (9-11) but he failed to capitalise as Fadte won the remaining games 11-6, 12-10 and India whitewashed Korea 3-0 after suffering a shock defeat against group toppers Pakistan, yesterday.

Indian Girls Squash Team lost their final encounter against Hong Kong 3-0 and the trio of Sanya Vats, Yoshna Singh and Amira Singh failed to stop Hong Kong as from the trio two players lost in straight sets against their respective opponents (Sanya Vats and Yoshna Singh) and the only player who gave some fight was Amira Singh who lost her first game and then made a comeback by winning game two and three by 13-15, 9-11 and that was enough as she lost the remaining games against Lim SumYuet and India lost the match 2-1 after Amira Singh gave sign of hope.
