Tony Finau to skip Utah PGA Tour event for son’s junior golf tournament
This week, the PGA Tour will make a trip to Utah for the first time in 61 years with its Black Desert Championship played in Ivins, Utah.
In this great moment for Utah, the state’s most popular golfer - Tony Finau will not feature in this event. Because during that time, Tony will be in another state (Texas) to support his son (Jraice) for a junior golf tournament (13U PGA Junior League Championship).
Tony confessed, that he was under some pressure to play the event. “But I can’t miss my son’s tournament,” said Tony.
Before the Black Desert Championship, the last time a PGA Tour event took place in the state was the 1963 Utah Open - won by Tommy Jacobs.
